NetNearU Executive to Speak at the
Wireless Hotspots: Conference & Expo in September
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (August 28, 2002) – The Wireless Hot Spots: Conference & Expo, to be held Sept. 23-24 in San Jose, Calif., has confirmed NetNearU’s executive vice president Cody Catalena will speak at two of the conference’s sessions. The conference, “Deploy Locally – Operate Globally,” will focus on providing useful and educational details on the value, profit prospects and real-world obstacles inherent in the deploying and maintaining of wireless public Internet access points – commonly called “hot spots.”
Catalena will join other panelists on Monday, Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. to noon, for a session titled “The Aggregators Unplugged,” analyzing the business models of wireless aggregators and the opportunities they present to their local partners. On Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., he will be a featured speaker in a conference session titled “Financial Analysis: Costs, Breakeven, and ROI,” which will review the basic cost elements of deploying a public access network, both one time and recurring.
The Wireless Hot Spots: Conference & Expo is the only event in the U.S. to focus exclusively on WLAN-enabled wireless public access networks and to examine this new trend from the perspective of service providers and location/facility owners – for their profitability and viability.
