Patrick J. Pollard is the president and founder of BlueStar Ventures L.P., a private equity investment fund focusing on investing in early stage technology and telecommunications companies. Mr. Pollard has more than 12 years of merger and acquisition and private equity experience, most recently as manager of the Chicago corporate finance office of ABN AMRO Incorporated and manager of Tortoise Fund I, LLC, a private equity fund established for the benefit of ABN AMRO employees.

Mr. Pollard has been an active investor in a number of early-stage technology and telecommunications companies and presently serves as a director of these companies: Clerity Knowledge Exchanges, Interface Software, NetNearU Corp., nii communications, Inc., and YoMobile, Inc. He holds a Masters of Management degree in Finance and Management Policy from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois.
