Dan Phelps is a General Partner at Opus Capital leading investments in both established services companies as well as early stage technology companies. Previously, Dan was a Partner and founding member of Duchossois Technology Partners (DTEC), an early stage venture capital firm, where he focused on networking software and system investments. While at DTEC, Dan led investments in Infoblox, NetNearU and Personeta and continues to serve as a board member of those companies. Dan also led investments in Clarity Technologies (acquired by Cambridge Silicon Radio), Intellon (Nasdaq: ITLN), Mobilitec (acquired by Lucent) and NextHop (acquired by U4EA). Before joining DTEC, Dan spent five years at the Pritzker Financial Office in Chicago, where his responsibilities focused on principal investments in a variety of industries. Previously, he was in the financial services group at Ernst & Young. He graduated with Honors from The Ohio State University with a BSBA and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
